Using QR codes on sticviews custom decals can provide a wealth of opportunities for any business or organization to better engage existing and potential customers through QR Code Marketing.
You could stick a custom QR code decal in your store windows to offer a special discount or to get customers to like your Facebook page. Or, you could place a custom car decal with a QR code on your vehicle that advertises your business and provides a quick and easy way for passers-by to retrieve your phone number or find out more information.
With sticviews, creating your own custom QR code decal is as simple as following just a few steps:
1) Create your QR code
There are several free QR code generator tools available on the web, each of which provides different actions for your QR code to perform. Some are all-encompassing, providing many possible actions (vCard, Map, Facebook “like”, etc.) and extra features (such as the ability to embed graphics or change the colors). Others are more limited and easy-to-use, offering only the basic actions (URL, phone #, etc.). Use our ultimate list of QR code generators to find a generator that fits your needs. I chose the BeQRious generator.
Choose your desired action or content type. Here, we’ll create a basic text QR code. Input your content, adjust any options, and then click ‘Create Code.’ (This process may vary depending on which generator you are using). Once your QR code is displayed, you can save the image to your computer (Save it in a location you will remember… you need to access this image soon).
BeQRious offers QR codes as a PDF and GIF, so I will download the GIF image file.
(Be sure to keep in mind that sticviews only permits .JPG and .GIF image uploads for use on decals. If you download a QR code in a different image format, it must be converted to JPG or GIF before it can be uploaded.)
2) Upload to Sticviews
Now that you have your QR code, head over to the sticviews.com homepage. To get started creating your custom decal, click the green “Create” icon in the top navigation menu (seen below).
This will take you to the 1st step of the Sticviews online designer where you can choose your shape, size, and material. The price is automatically updated to reflect any changes you make.
Click the green NEXT button to proceed. You will now be shown the stock image gallery. Just above the collection of images, click the ‘Upload your Own!’ button. In the popup window, select “Browse” and navigate to the location where you saved your QR code. Check the box to agree to respect copyright laws, then click Upload.
(If you receive a Resolution Exceeded warning, you may wish to create a larger QR code to upload, to ensure your code is able to scan after printing.)
3) Customize & finalize your decal
Now that you have uploaded your QR code to sticviews, you will be taken to the final step of customizing your decal. In the center of the screen is a preview of what your decal will look like. In this step you can add text, upload more images, and size and position everything exactly as your want it. If you need to make any adjustment to the size, shape, or material of your decal, you can do that here as well.
When you are done customizing, just click the ‘Add to Cart’ button and you’ll be on your way to ordering your very own custom QR code decal for any use you can think of.
