Tips for Installing Sticviews Custom Decals, Wall Decals and Car Vinyl pt. 1

The Dry Method

Sticviews custom stickers are easy to install, move and remove.

These tips will help you get great looking results with any sticview material.

  • Due to surface variations, sticviews cannot be held responsible for damage to surfaces.
  • Test your surface before stic’n anything to it.
  • Sticviews are not recommended for use near sources of heat, electrical or artificial light.
  • Keep all plastic films away from young children and animals.

the dry installation method

use this method for installing any of the stic materials.
note: if you’re using the white stic and clear stic materials, and your surface is water-safe, we recommend the wet installation method instead to best remove the potential for air bubbles under your print. Instructions for wet installation is in pt. 2 of “Installing a Sticview.”

  1. Prepare your work area.
    Make sure the installation area is free from dust, lint or debris that might stic to the adhesive surface. Don’t forget to wash your hands!

  2. Clean your surface.
    Clean off any dust or grime from your surface, and be sure to remove any excess cleaner before installation.

  3. Peel your decal.
    Peel the the top edge of the backing paper approximately three inches and align the top of the sticview to where you want it placed.

  4. Place the decal.
    Lightly apply the sticview starting from the middle. Avoid trapping any air by applying it outwards from the center.

  5. Check for trapped air and apply the decal.
    If there are air bubbles, lift the sticview up from the surface to let the air out, then reapply using a squeegee.

** If you wish to save your sticview after you remove it, save the backing paper. Then, place your sticview on the backing paper after your remove your sticview from its surface.
